Choose a password manager
Keep strong, unique passwords without memorizing them all.
What to do
- Choose one password manager that works on your devices.
- Turn it on and set a strong main password if it asks for one.
- Add an extra login check to the vault account and save recovery information somewhere safe.
Choose one option, not all three. Do not keep passwords in an ordinary document, spreadsheet, email draft, or notes file. A physically secured paper copy of critical recovery information can be reasonable.
