Back up important files and photos

A recoverable backup helps after loss, theft, damage, or ransomware.

What to do

  1. Turn on automatic backups for important files and photos.
  2. Check whether device settings need a separate backup.
  3. Confirm backups are succeeding and try restoring a file when practical.

Syncing alone may not protect against deletion or unwanted changes. Look for versioned or recoverable copies.
